This series of photographs is a continuation of the first series for "Abandoned Shopping Carts" project and it shows another series of non-staged, black and white photographs showing the observed abandoned shopping carts, scattered in various parts of the city of Leicester. The project aims to show the mentality of some city residents who are taking/stealing and leaving these carts wherever they like as it was completely normal and acceptable thing to do. It's also important that there's a lack of reaction of the relevant authorities to this practice. The photos were taken at the turn of several months during everyday travel around the city. By showing these pictures I would like to raise people's awareness and express my opinion that such behaviours do not have a positive impact on the image and aesthetics of the city.
